U6 StockSense ("we", "our", "the platform") is an educational stock-analysis platform. We are not a SEBI-registered investment advisor. All content is educational and for informational purposes only.

2. Information We Collect

• Account data: Name, email address, username, password (bcrypt-hashed).
• Birth details: Date of birth, place of birth, time of birth — used solely to generate personalised horoscope and Vedic astrological predictions.
• Location: City, state, country — used to calculate Rahu Kalam timings and weather.
• Usage data: Watchlist stocks, prediction mode preferences, login timestamps.
• Device data: Browser user-agent, IP address (via standard server logs).

3. How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalised astrological and AI-based stock analysis.
• Calculate Rahu Kalam, Finance Luck Score, and horoscope predictions.
• Maintain your watchlist and notification preferences.
• Improve our prediction accuracy through anonymised aggregate analysis.
• Send account-related emails (password reset, security alerts).

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in a MongoDB database hosted on secured cloud infrastructure. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plaintext. Birth details are encrypted at rest.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We may share anonymised, aggregated data (e.g., "60% of users are Capricorn") for research purposes only.

We use the following third-party services that may receive limited data:

• Open-Meteo API: Your city/coordinates for weather and sunrise/sunset times.
• Yahoo Finance (via server): Stock price fetches — no personal data is sent.
• BSE India: Public bhavcopy data — no personal data is sent.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store your JWT authentication token and prediction preferences. No third-party tracking cookies are used. You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings.

7. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update your profile details at any time via Settings.
• Deletion: Request complete account deletion — we will remove all personal data within 30 days.
• Portability: Request an export of your data in JSON format.

8. Data Retention

Active account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Prediction history records are retained for 12 months. Server logs are retained for 30 days. Upon account deletion, all personal data is purged within 30 days.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security: HTTPS/TLS 1.3, bcrypt password hashing, JWT token authentication, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please contact us immediately.

10. Children

This platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us for immediate deletion.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
